We had a great getaway weekend to the beach. Enough warmth for swimming and playing in the sand, yet certainly not as hot as it was at home!

Our little mermaid. Give her a swimming pool and everyone will be happy. She has become quite the fish! (And also thought she was all that in that bathing suit.)
Clara was starting to get the hang of the pool. She wasn't totally crazy about it, but managed to splash and kick her feet around. She loved to "jump" while daddy caught her. (And a HUGE thank you to daddy who covered all in water duty this weekend and let me just sit and watch from the sidelines. Appreciated more than you'll ever know!)
And seeing as Clara remains almost totally evasive when the camera is out, this is the best I could do for a shot of them together. At the aquarium in the evening, another one of our favorite places at the beach.
