WOW!
One of the amazing things about these clouds was their eerie movement.
They just creeped and rolled in and looked like they just wanted to swallow up anything that was in their way.
There was some movement to the cloud layers, and Chris and I were just staring (while driving of course) to see if a funnel cloud would form.
These pictures were taken from my phone, and while the quality is good, it still doesn't do these clouds justice. We were out running errands, and the sky was so wacky. The color was totally indescribable. The rain started about 5 minutes after the clouds blanketed the area, it was torrential.
Thank goodness I have a husband who is as obsessed about the weather as I am. Weather plays a big part of his job, so at least he has a reason. I can just claim I'm along for the ride. Some day, we want to take one of those classes to be a registered Weather Watcher or whatever they are called, I forget.
