you don't know jack

No really, you don't know Jack.  We'd love to introduce you to him, but his name is no longer Jack (he didn't know that name anyways).

It is our pleasure to introduce to you:

Scooby

He's almost a year old and about the happiest animal I've ever seen in my life....Except for a couple of small things he chewed (here's a good way to thin out the toys in this house) overnight, he's been great.  He loves it outside, and probably feels most comfortable there.  We picked him up at a Humane Society about an hour south of where we live.  His story is that, while he has been fostered for a little while, his entire year has been spent at the Humane Society except for the hours when someone dumped him in a dumpster.  Probably when he was a very wee pup.  Rumor has it he is part Airedale and part Bloodhound, or lab depending on which description you read.  He is a bit long for a lab, but who knows.  So far, he's gotten along with everyone in the house -- resident cat and dog included.  The hardest part has been picking his name.  Don't be surprised if at some point you hear us call him something different.  He's gone to meetings with Humane Society people as the "face" of the Humane Society, and they can't figure out why he hasn't been adopted yet.  But I know.  He was waiting for us.  And while I generally do not believe in using emoticons in blogs, there is no word that fits here to explain things, so I will just end with this.  :)
