Random thoughts, because I haven't had time to put together something more formal, and I just haven't felt like doing the Life List this week. Next installment coming soon.
Scooby -- the dog formally known as Jack -- is doing well. He still struggles to figure things out, and is restless unless we are all sitting in one spot. Quiet. Which really doesn't happen unless most everyone is asleep. So, thus, Scooby is not at rest unless the house is asleep. During the day we gate him in our laundry 'area'. It is an area larger than a crate would be, probably similar to the area he had at the Humane Society. He doesn't care to be in there, and this morning tried to run all over the house instead of going in there. However, we just don't trust him enough to let him have the house. He seems to LOVE the belles' stuffed animals, and if we can't see him, we know he is probably in their room trying to steal one off of their bed. And the eye boogers? Those belong to Scooby. And they're gross. Clearly one of the things I should've asked about pre-adoption. "Yes, and can you tell me if the dog has eye boogers?"
Clara Belle is getting very excited for her upcoming birthday, and when we ask her what she wants her reply is: "I want to bring cupcakes to my school". Easy enough.
Clara Belle also demonstrates quite the imagination. Lately she has been talking about having something in her ear. I think she probably has some ear issues stemming from allergies, but nothing enough for me to take her to the dr. yet. The 'something' in her ear has now turned into a ladybug. So we always talk about the ladybug in her ear. This morning in the car on the way to school the ladybug was not awake yet, but when he woke up (I guess it's a he) he was going to take a bath. It's funny she chose a ladybug, because all of the sudden she has ladybug pajamas that were sent from Nana, a ladybug dress that finally fits as a handmedown, and she got a ladybug tattoo from school yesterday.
I'll try to get to some pictures soon. Just felt I needed to post something before you forgot about us!
